Frederick Nichelson- musician, producer, author 

Frederick Nichelson /aka/ Nic is a North Texas musician/producer with over 25 years of professional experience. Nichelson hails from the rich music tradition of Memphis, TN. He is co-founder and leader of the jazz/soul group Fingerprints and its parent company Nichelson Entertainment. Nichelson has also served as manager for other artists including Shelley Carrol, Memphis Soul Live, and Kyle Turner. His South Memphis Music record label has over 20 releases and its artists perform over 500 shows per year. Recent projects include "I am A man" documentary film (Regional Emmy Winner for Best Song), Fingerprints- Dream Life CD, Eric and Josh Willis- Father to Son (2018), Kyle Turner-Wrapped Tight CD, and releases by Barrie Lee Hall, Mark Harper, Bobby Lavell, and Sebastian Whittaker. Nichelson Entertainment is adept at all aspects of writing, producing, recording, replication and music marketing. Nichelson is also co-author, along with Eric Willis of the 2016 ebook Handle Your Business: Music Publisher. He holds a BBA from the University of North Texas and holds positions on several industry advisory boards including the AFM Local 72-147 Executive Board. Nichelson has also served as Music Director for the Denton Black Film Festival since 2015. There he curates talent in music, poetry and spoken word along with overseeing all technical/production aspects of the festival. He has also been a part of Denton Arts and Jazz Festival since its inception in 1988.
